Pfosten















thats the entrance to the temple.. extensive carving all over the doorway... if you zoom into the pic you'll be able to appreciate it better..



exquisite carving of lord shiva, on a pillar.. again flash is the culprit.. but without it couldnt get a proper image.. the reason a lot of the statue looks dull off white is because of reflection of the flash.. so you can imagine just how shiny the soapstone pillar really is..

Sri, Nice work. Gave a Chance to watch our ancestral works. But you could be mentioning the place. Is that really Belur?

Also, just out of curisoity and ignorance I ask, what is the meaning of thrudelens, Meine Bilder, Pfosten, etc.... :-)

ya, those are from belur and halebeedu.. pics during height of summer!! prob thats why they appear really bright.. :)
